Owner sought for horse found in La Pine area

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on a possible owner for a horse that was found at large nearly two months ago in the southwest La Pine area.

Deputies said the finder kept the horse during that time, in hopes that an owner would come forward to claim it. But no one did, so the finder has turned the horse over to the sheriff’s office.

Anyone with information as to a possible owner, or anyone with an ownership claim on this horse, is asked to all the non-emergency dispatch number at 541-693-6911.

Callers should reference Sheriff’s Office case number 13-275392. Those with a possible claim of ownership will be asked to provide additional information on the horse.
