Bend’s Reed Market Road closing Tuesday

KTVZ

Reed Market Road in Bend is set to close Tuesday as construction work begins on stage three of phase one of a multi-year project.

The road will be closed between Camelot Place to Fargo Lane.

The construction is part of a $30 million general obligation bond passed by Bend voters in 2011 to fix roads in the city.

Last summer, crews began work on the first phase of the project, rebuilding Reed Market from Newberry Drive to Orion Drive. That phase of the project was completed in November.

Construction on bridges, a railroad crossing and a new roundabout at the intersection of 15th and Reed Market will begin in the summer.

The entire project is expected to be done by September 2015.
