Super Bowl police patrol results given

KTVZ

On Sunday, Feb. 2, several Central Oregon law enforcement agencies participated in a one-day high visibility enforcement campaign to detect and deter DUII drivers during and after the Super Bowl. The results are as follows:

-3 DUII arrests made during grant funded overtime (2 OSP-Bend & 1 Redmond PD).

-5 DUII arrests made on 02/02/2014 by officers not on grant funded overtime (all Bend PD).

-Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office investigated a rollover motor vehicle crash.

Central Oregon law enforcement reminds everyone not to drive impaired. Please designate a driver or make other arrangements. People are encouraged to report suspected impaired drivers to their local law enforcement agencies.

Additionally, OSP operates a 24 hour DUII hotline, 800-24DRUNK. This works statewide and information is shared with local police agencies.
