Dennis Pahlisch, founder and president of Pahlisch Homes, Inc., was recently appointed by the Deschutes County commissioners as one of three representatives of the County on the Housing Works Board of Commissioners.

Pahlisch founded Pahlisch Homes in 1983 and built the company into an award winning home builder of quality homes with operations in Oregon, Washington and Arizona. Pahlisch and his company are based in Bend, Oregon.

Housing Works Executive Director Tom Kemper said, “We are very excited about Dennis joining the board. He brings 30 years of residential development and construction experience and strong business acumen to the board. He has a deep understanding of the Central Oregon market. He will provide valuable insight and counsel to Housing Works, particularly on our development activities at a time when Central Oregon is experiencing a housing crisis with multifamily vacancy rates below 1%.”

Housing Works is the largest affordable housing provider in Central Oregon. It provides people with quality, safe and affordable homes; and through a number of collaborations, it provides the resources to help people stabilize their lives. Housing Works obtains public funding from federal, state and local governments and leverages these funds with private capital from local financial institutions and foundations to provide quality housing that meets communities’ needs.

Housing Works developments in Bend, Redmond, Prineville, Madras and Sisters have won awards for innovation, economic impact, design, beautification, and historic preservation and enhancement. For more information, visit www.housing-works.org.
