High Desert Omnium race seeks volunteers

Organizers of the High Desert Omnium, a two-day, three-stage bike race held annually in Central Oregon, are seeking volunteers for a variety of positions for the July 5 -6 event.

Volunteers are needed primarily for the Saturday road race as flaggers and corner marshals at key intersections along the course west of Bend between the Edison Sno-Park, Sunriver and the Cascade Lakes Highway.

Other positions such as lead and support drivers are also open.

Volunteers receive gift cards to Pine Mountain Sports, lunch and gas reimbursement for driving positions.
