Redmond Kiwanis seeks Sam Johnson Park donations
By July 1, the Kiwanis Club of Redmond and the City of Redmond are seeking your help to raise $47,700 to secure a match of $112,500 that will complete the fundraising for the first phase of the Sam Johnson Park renovation.
In May an anonymous donor pledged to match up to $112,500 in community pledges and contributions for the $700,000 project.
Redmond Kiwanis built Sam Johnson Park in the late 1980s, but 25 years later it needs refurbishing and expanding as the community destination park for all abilities. Groundbreaking is scheduled in February with completion by Memorial Day.
Donations of any size are welcome. If you feel a contribution is not within your means, you can still help by taking your recyclable cans and bottles to Community Presbyterian Church. Leave them at the lower north door.
Contributions can be mailed to the Redmond Kiwanis Foundation, P.O. Box 253, Redmond, or on-line at www.samjohnsonpark.com .
