Campbell elected builders group president
The Central Oregon Builders Association (COBA) newly elected 2015 president is an experienced and respected local builder, Jay Campbell from Woodhill Homes.
Campbell was sworn in as president by his oldest daughter Parker Campbell, a Summit High School freshman, in a ceremony at Pronghorn Thursday evening. Campbell has spent the past 15 years as a builder in Central Oregon.
“2014 has seen new construction starts and sales continue to improve. My focus for 2015 will be to grow COBA’s membership and continue to generate incredible community events like the Spring Home & Garden Show, the Tour of Homes and the AmeriTitle Chef’s on Tour,” stated Campbell.
“COBA chose an experienced and award winning builder that’s active in our association and our community. I know we’ll see great things this coming year under Jay’s leadership,” said COBA Executive Vice President Tim Knopp.
COBA’s newly elected Officers and Board of Directors for 2015 include Officers, First Vice President Dan Goodrich, Structure Development NW Second Vice President Jeff Payne, Panterra Homes; Associate Vice President Galen Blyth, Noble Insurance; Treasurer, Rockland Dunn, Bank of the Cascades; Secretary Debbie Baldwin, Century 21 Gold Country; and Past President Chuck Schermerhorn, Neil Kelly. Directors include Hayden Watson, Hayden Homes; John Williamson, Skanska; Pat Kesgard, Compass Commercial; Karna Gustafson, Landye, Bennett Blumstein, LLP; Jerry Bogart, Van de Bogart & Associates; Tate Morgan, Henry Company; Ron Wanless, Technology Design Associates; Greg Welch, Greg Welch Construction & Jake Woodruff, Northwest Quality Roofing, LLC.
These Officers and Directors will lead the over 600 member non-profit independent trade association. The mission of COBA is to represent the building industry before government and the community, to promote high ethical standards within the building industry, to provide service to its membership and to defend opportunities of home ownership for all.
