BrightSide to hold orientation for new volunteers

KTVZ

Are you looking for an opportunity to give back to the community in 2015? If so, BrightSide Animal Center in Redmond welcomes you.

We depend on volunteers to supplement our small staff. Volunteers foster kittens, puppies and other pets who need home care; staff the front desk; walk dogs; staff the thrift store; sort bottles and cans for recycling; answer phones; help with publicity; take adoptable dogs to off-campus events; and many more tasks.

Some volunteers donate a little time, others a lot. No matter what your skills and interests, we have a job for you.

We are holding orientation sessions for new volunteers in January, on Jan. 20 and Jan. 31. Please call the shelter at 541-923-0882 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, or e-mail volunteer@brightsideanimals.org, to register.

Registration is required as space in each volunteer orientation session is limited. Please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out the volunteer application before the session begins. You can also download the application at http://brightsideanimals.org/join-us/volunteer-with-animals/ and bring the completed application with you.

Thank you for your support!
