KTVZ

he City of Redmond Parks Division will be starting the Centennial Park spray feature for the summer this Friday .

The spray feature is scheduled to operate 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. seven days a week from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The city operates the spray pad to be an economical summer activity for families in Redmond and the park has proven to also be a regional draw bringing thousands into downtown Redmond throughout the summer.

This year, the city of Redmond is partnering with the Redmond Area Parks and Recreation District (RAPRD) to operate the kiosk at Centennial Park.

This kiosk will offer basic snacks and amenities for park users (ice cream, water, hotdogs, sunscreen) and residents will also be able to register for all of RAPRDs activities on site.

“Everyone gets excited for the opening of the Centennial Park spray pad, “comments Annie McVay, Parks Division Manager, “It signals the start of summer! The partnership this year with RAPRD will also increase user’s enjoyment and safety at the spray park.”
