Survey online for Bend’s Central Westside Plan

KTVZ

Bend’s central westside is rapidly changing with new residential development, schools, parks and an expanded Oregon State University – Cascades campus on the horizon.

As part of a community engagement process, Bend residents have developed three scenarios for how Bend’s central and westside neighborhoods could change over time. Now we need to hear from you about how closely each scenario matches your vision for the future.

To make it convenient to participate, the city is gathering feedback through an interactive and visual online tool. Community members can go to www.bendoregon.gov/westsideplan to identify priorities, provide feedback about how central and westside neighborhoods could develop, and identify transportation needs.

The survey takes about ten minutes to participate, and the online tool works on computers, tablets and smartphones. Users who provide their name and contact information will be entered into a drawing to win a City of Bend Hydro Flask water bottle.

The online tool will be available from July 1 through August 7.

Input will be used to shape a preferred land use plan for Bend’s central westside. Hearing from community members is critical to the success of this important planning effort.

When complete, the Central Westside Plan will recommend a land use and transportation strategy for Bend’s central westside and a set of transportation projects to support this strategy.
