‘Food for a Frosty’ aids NeighborImpact
NeighborImpact is excited to announce the 2015 Wendy’s Food for a Frosty event from now until August 3.
As community partners in Central Oregon, two Wendy’s restaurants will be offering a free small Frosty dessert for each non-perishable food item donated at the following locations:
Wendy’s Wendy’s
1609 NE 3 rd 61395 South Highway 9
Bend Bend
August is usually the slowest time of the year for food donations across the United States and Central Oregon is no exception. Food is needed year round and that is why Wendy’s is making August “Food for a Frosty” month.
Food collected at Wendy’s Bend locations will be donated directly to NeighborImpact’s Emergency Food Assistance Program.
“We see a definite decrease in food donations in the summertime, especially in August,” says NeighborImpact Food Program Manager Carly Sanders. “We are excited to see that our local Wendy’s restaurants are willing to help us keep our shelves stocked in order to feed our neighbors in Central Oregon. Plus, everyone I know loves a Frosty! It’s a win-win.”
