KTVZ

While U.S. Highway 26 remains closed on the Warm Springs Indian Reservation, other wildfires across Oregon are closing highways and affecting travelers as well.

Oregon 230 (West Diamond Lake Highway) near Crater Lake remains closed due to wildfire, with no estimated time to reopen, officials said Friday

The highway closure is now at the intersection with Oregon 62 (mile post 0), north of Union Creek. The closure spans north to its intersection with Oregon 138 near Diamond Lake (MP 24).

Travelers must take alternate routes. Oregon 138 between Roseburg and U.S. 97 remains open.
There is no expected time of reopening Oregon 230 due to fire activity.

The fire crossed the highway Thursrday near MP 17 and fire suppression efforts next to the roadway are ongoing (see video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MHDRHMwfI9w).

Commercial truck traffic is reminded that travel on Oregon 62 through Crater Lake National Park is prohibited.

In Eastern Oregon, U.S. Highways 26 and 395 and state Highway 245 are closed due to wildfire activity, ODOT reported.

US 26 is closed between Unity (MP 213) and Ironside (MP 231). US 395-C is closed between Seneca (MP 25) and 10 miles south of John Day (MP 10). OR 245 (Dooley Mtn. Hwy) is closed between Hereford (MP 21) and junction with OR 7 (MP 36.5).

Conditions may change at any time. The Windy Ridge and Cornet fires that are impacting OR 245 are moving towards OR 7 south of Baker City. It is anticipated that OR 7 may also close Friday afternoon.
