Oktoberfest concludes in downtown Bend
Saturday marked the final day of Oktoberfest in downtown Bend. Many people traveled from all across the region to celebrate because Bend is known for its amazing breweries.
Many local breweries brought out their best beers to share with the public. Lauran and Jay Beebe, from Arizona, enjoyed celebrating Oktoberfest in one of their favorite cities.
“We’re actually here because we want to support Bend,” she said. “We do like Bend. We’ve enjoyed our time here, and we wanted to come out, drink some good beer and support the downtown, because that’s what this is all about. So we’re having a great time.”
Jillian Okner, senior policy analyst for the city of Bend, said, “Getting out on a great fall day, experiencing all that Bend has to offer, making relationships with the businesses that are present here. This is a great chance for all of us to convene, and what a great day to have it on!”
Oktoberfest included tons of food vendors, bouncy castles for the kids, oompah bands and “wiener dog” and tricycle races.
It took place Friday from 5-10 p.m. and was set to conclude Saturday at 10 p.m.
