KTVZ

The Central Oregon Ducks, the University of Oregon Alumni Chapter for Central Oregon, has appointed a new board and will again be active in the Central Oregon area.

The chapter’s goals are to connect with alumni, outreach to local high school students, create networking opportunities and to build a scholarship fund for local students attending the University of Oregon. Joining the 2015-2016 board are: Kim Gammond, President; Caren Hardin, Vice-President; Garrett Bergby, Marlene Lomas and Brian Marshall.

The chapter will begin holding regular happy hour events around Central Oregon. The first event will take place on November 5th at 5:30pm at the Broken Top Bottle Shop in Bend. The event will include information about the board’s vision and how to get more involved with the alumni association at the local level through volunteering or serving on the board.

All alumni are welcome, please contact the chapter at centraloregonducks@gmail.com or visit facebook.com/UOAACO for more information on the chapter or the event.

Launched in 1879 with five alumni, the UOAA is proud of its long history of keeping alumni connected to the university and offering a wide array of opportunities for service. With a membership of more than 27,000, the alumni association serves as an important connection to the university for the more than 195,000 alumni around the world.
