100+ Women Who Care Central Oregon

KTVZ

Cascade Sotheby’s International Realty and Bend broker, Lisa Connors, are proud to bring awareness to 100+ Women Who Care Central Oregon. Connors, a co-founder, started the organization just over a year ago, and has almost donated $100,000 to local non-profits within the community.

100+ Women Who Care Central Oregon is the first of its kind in the Pacific NW, but the concept is quickly spreading throughout Alaska, Portland and Washington, thanks to Connors and the great success the organization has seen. The concept is simple: bring 100 women together, with each member advocating for a certain charity they believe is deserving of a donation, have the group select three charities at random to vote on and once one is selected, each member writes a $100 check in support of that charity. The Central Oregon chapter has now grown to nearly 300 members and contributions include: $18,155 to Bethlehem Inn, a homeless shelter in Bend, a building for the Central Oregon Disability Support Network, a bus for Oregon Adaptive Sports and, today, a $27,000 check was presented to the Central Oregon Veterans Ranch, which will be used to furnish the home on the property where veterans will live in hospice and receive end-of-life care.

Cascade Sotheby’s would like to thank Lisa Connors and her group, for making a powerful impact on our local community and giving back to those in need. If you would like to learn more about their cause, please check out their website like them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter. Their next meeting will be held at the Boys & Girls Club of Bend on Wednesday, December 9.
