Gov. Brown orders Oregon flags to half-staff

Gov. Kate Brown on Monday ordered all flags at public institutions throughout Oregon be lowered to half-staff beginning immediately until Thursday at sunset to honor the victims of the attacks in Paris.

“I am sickened and profoundly saddened by the violence inflicted on the people of Paris, France,” Brown said. “Those responsible must be brought to justice, and we must stand together as a nation and as members of a global community united against terrorism.”
