Flying from RDM over holidays? Show up 90 minutes early
Passenger traffic through Redmond Municipal Airport is anticipated to increase beginning this week for the Thanksgiving holiday and continue through the holiday travel season, officials said Tuesday.
In an effort to accommodate the growing number of travelers, airport management is asking all passengers to please arrive 90 minutes prior to the departure time of their scheduled flight.
The airline check-in counters may close 40 minutes prior to your scheduled flight departure time to expedite baggage and additional pre-flight services. Passengers need to allow for enough time to complete the check-in and the security checkpoint procedures.
“With peak season upon us, we want to ensure our passengers continue to receive the quality of services they have come to expect from our facility, while being mindful of the increased demands on Security and Air Carrier personnel,” said Zachary Bass, airport business manager.
“It is our hope that RDM’s new increased wi-fi bandwidth will make your holiday travel experience a bit more enjoyable.”
Passengers are also encouraged to check their flight status online prior to arriving at the airport. Airline flight status may be check on your air carrier’s website or at www.flyrdm.com.
