Family Access Network receives estate gift to help kids

KTVZ

The Family Access Network (FAN) is the recipient of a $50,000 planned giving donation from an anonymous donor to support FAN advocate services to local children and families. FAN connects children and their families to vital resources, with the goal of keeping children healthy and in school.

“We are very appreciative of the generous donation from this anonymous donor. These funds will help to support our most needy children, those struggling to make it from day to day. The $50,000 gift will go a long way in our efforts to assist disadvantaged children and family members each year,” Julie N. Lyche, FAN executive director.

The Family Access Network is poised to work with donors on estate planning gifts and contributions to the FAN endowment. You are invited to consider a special kind of gift to FAN by contributing directly to the endowment or naming the Family Access Network in your estate planning. Have the satisfaction of knowing that vulnerable children in our community will benefit from your generous gift well into the future.

FAN began in January 1993 and currently employs 23 advocates in 43 public schools (K-12) and three early childhood sites. FAN strives to improve lives by ensuring all children in Deschutes County have access to basic-need services. FAN is unique to Deschutes County, utilizing advocates to efficiently reach and connect disadvantaged children and families with basic needs, such as food, shelter, clothing, and health care.
