Wanted Bend predatory sex offender caught in Seattle

A predatory sex offender on post-parole supervision in Bend who cut off his GPS ankle monitoring bracelet and fled the area last week was arrested Sunday evening in Seattle, officials said.

Deschutes County Parole and Probation had issued a community alert last Wednesday after Justin Lampke, 42, disconnected his monitoring device. The next day, officials said they had reason to believe he had left Central Oregon.

Lampke was on post-prison supervision for convictions on sexual abuse and attempted sodomy charges.

Lampke was described as 5-foot-7 and 160 pounds, with “longish” brown hair. He last was seen wearing dark sweat pants, a blue polo-type shirt and jacket. He also wears glasses at times, said Christine Bell, Parole and Probation supervisor.

Bell said Lampke has had three convictions, the first a misdemeanor, since 1992, then felonies in 1995 and 2000.

“His history is offending young male children,” she said.
