Governor Brown fires Oregon Lottery director
PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Gov. Kate Brown says she’s removed Jack Roberts from his post as director of the Oregon Lottery over what her office called “management issues.”
Brown disclosed the shake-up in a statement Tuesday evening. She said she’s grateful for Roberts’ years of service but it’s “time for a leadership change.”
Brown gave no details. Her spokeswoman Kristen Grainger said there were “management issues,” but declined to give specifics.
Roberts is a Lane County Republican who was appointed by former Gov. John Kitzhaber in 2013. He is being replaced in the interim by Barry Pack, who is currently chief administrative officer at the Department of Administrative Services.
