Redmond Habitat, Jericho Road hold successful golf tourney

A hugely successful first effort charity golf tourney was hosted at Eagle Crest Resort course by the Redmond Habitat for Humanity & Jericho Road.

The event was held on Saturday , August 20th and involved 68 players from the community playing to support these wonderful organizations in Central Oregon.

According to the coordinators, John Smallwood, Mike Bessonette, Roger Palmer and Bob Troutman, approximately $7,000 has been raised that will be shared by the two organization. The funds will go directly into providing affordable housing, repairing homes, providing meals for the hungry, emergency assistance and food packs for students.

The success of this year’s charity tournament was such that both groups are already planning for another tournament, possibly in June 2017. For information on these programs, visit Redmond Habitat for Humanity and Jericho Road, Redmond online.
