Junction City man accused of threatening teens with gun
JUNCTION CITY, Ore. (AP) — A Junction City man has been accused of pointing a gun at a group of teens and hitting and choking some of them.
The Register-Guard reports (http://bit.ly/2gCy8A9 ) that the 46-year-old man on Sunday was booked into the Lane County Jail on charges of pointing a firearm at another, menacing, assault, strangulation, unlawful possession of a firearm and unlawful use of a weapon.
Junction City police say the man confronted a group of five teens late Saturday regarding a theft from his vehicle. The teens told police the man pointed a pistol to their heads, struck one of them in the face and hit another in the groin.
The teens called 911 just before midnight and Junction City Police responded. The man was found in the area and taken into custody.
