C. Oregon roofing, plumbing companies busy as temps dip
Central Oregon will be seeing sub-zero temperatures into the weekend, and that has many people preparing for the freezing weather.
From shoveling snow off the roof to repairing busted pipes this cold weather is keeping businesses around Central Oregon busy.
Northwest Roofing Quality was inundated with calls from people requesting snow removal from their roofs Thursday morning.
When there is a large amount of snow on top of the roof and nothing really melts off, it does get alarming with all that weight up there, said Jake Woodruff, owner of Northwest Quality Roofing.
Einstein Plumbing was working from the early morning into the evening, repairing busted and leaky water pipes.
Steve Shein was getting his morning started when he started hearing water drip inside his wall.
Shein called Einstein Plumbing to help fix the problem.
Frank Napier, who works for Einstein, told NewsChannel 21 there are helpful things homeowners can do to prevent their pipers from breaking.
They include opening your cabinet doors below the sink to allow heat inside your home to circulate and also disconnecting your water hose from the faucet so it won’t rupture.
