Deschutes Co. SO seeks owner of wandering cow

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s help Saturday in finding the owner of a cow found wandering south of Redmond a few days ago.

The sheriff’s office got a call around 11 a.m. Thursday regarding a cow at large near the area of Southwest McVey Avenue and South Canal Boulevard. said sheriff’s Lt. Ty Rupert.

The agency has been unable to find the cow’s owner and is caring for the animal at the Sheriff’s Office Rescue Ranch. Rupert said.
