Officials search for swimmer missing in Three Pools area
SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Authorities are searching for a 25-year-old missing swimmer who did not resurface while swimming with friends in the Three Pools area east of Salem.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office says the man was swimming at about 4 p.m. Monday when he didn’t resurface.
The sheriff’s office says search and rescue swimmers haven’t been able to find the man, who is presumed drowned. The search was scheduled to continue Tuesday.
The Three Pools area was closed and will remain closed until dive operations are completed.
