New info on charges against ex-La Pine coach

KTVZ

Dylan Sullivan is being accused of “engaging in unlawful activities of a sexual nature” with two students while working as a substitute teacher and assistant basketball coach at La Pine High School between 2013 and 2015, Deschutes County District Attorney John Hummel said Tuesday.

The two students are underage females. The DA said he has had several people contact him with information on Sullivan.

“I’ve gotten emails from parents with concerns about Mr. Sullivan, and I’ve passed that on to the detectives,” Hummel said. “So this is an active investigation, and we encourage people to come forward if they have information about Mr. Sullivan.”

When NewsChannel 21 first reported the story last week, we received Facebook comments from parents of current and former students at La Pine High School, expressing their concerns.

One parent contacted us and mentioned her son played for Sullivan while at the school, and said he was “a great coaching asset to the team.”

Sullivan is due back in court on June 15.
