(Update: Missing Bend woman found near Pine Mountain)

A Bend woman reported missing by family members Sunday evening was found Monday afternoon near Pine Mountain Observatory, east of Bend, in a pickup that had two flat tires, authorities said.

The Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office had asked the public to help look for Jodi Kettering, 56, when her family became concerned she might pose a danger to herself.

Around 3:15 p.m., a deputy with the sheriff’s office Special Services Division found Kettering uninjured in her pickup truck, said Lt. Chad Davis.

The deputy took Kettering back to Bend, he added.

Investigators had been attempting to determine Kettering’s location using cellphone data and through ground searches in areas east of Bend, Davis said.

The search for Kettering involved deputies from the Patrol and Special Services divisions and detectives from the Detective Division.
