Boy, 6, found in Medford car trunk, critically injured

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) – Authorities say a 6-year-old boy in southern Oregon was flown to a hospital after his parents discovered him in the trunk of a car, suffering from a heat-related illness.

KDRV-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2shPQlu ) police in Medford are trying to determine why the boy was in the trunk of the compact car on a warm Tuesday afternoon. The critically injured child was taken to a hospital in Portland.
