Medford may let food trucks stay open late

KTVZ

MEDFORD, Ore. (AP) – Southern Oregon’s largest city could soon have more late-night dining options.

The Medford City Council is considering a code change that would allow downtown food trucks to expand their hours of operation until 2:30 a.m.

The Mail Tribune ( https://is.gd/xzgxG2 ) reports several councilors supported the idea at this week’s council meeting, but agreed not to vote until studying the issue more and hearing from the public.

Medford has seen a growing number of food trucks in the last decade. More than 100 are registered in the county that includes Medford. The council last month amended an ordinance to allow bigger food carts within the city limits.
