Burglars steal Prineville woman’s jewelry, day after online listing
A wedding ring for sale on Facebook might have attracted someone to break into a Prineville woman’s home and take more than $26,000 worth of jewelry, tools, and cash.
The victim, Brynessa Taylor told NewsChannel 21 on Thursday, the day before the burglary, she listed her wedding ring for sale on a Facebook Marketplace
“They’re the pieces of my life that will never ever be recovered, she said.
Taylor said that she had gone to a Facebook page for buying and selling items on Tuesday and offered to sell her wedding ring for $6,500.
The break-in occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Wednesday at a home in the 200 block of Southeast Elm Street, said Prineville Police, Sgt. Jimmy O’Daniel.
Police called to the home late Wednesday afternoon found the burglar had broken into a back door to the home.
She said she believes someone could have looked up her name in Crook County property tax records and learned her address.
