Lane County man accused of killing chicken

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) – Lane County authorities have arrested a 22-year-old man accused of killing a chicken.
 
Spokeswoman Carrie Carver of the Lane County Sheriff’s Office says Henry Young went onto a private property without permission Monday and killed the bird.
 
Young, who has no known address, was booked into a Eugene jail on charges of animal abuse and criminal mischief.
