Band saw falls off pickup, 10 vehicles hit it on I-5 near Woodburn

KTVZ

SALEM, Ore. (AP) – Authorities say a large band saw fell off a pickup truck on Interstate 5, and 10 vehicles hit the object.

Oregon State Police Lt. Cari Boyd says one motorist was injured when his car flipped several times, but most of the vehicles sustained only minor damage in the Tuesday night mishap near Woodburn.

Boyd says the driver of the pickup initially stopped and ran toward the band saw. But he turned around once vehicles started hitting it. The man got back into the pickup, and left the scene.

Police do not have a good description of him or the pickup, described as a larger vehicle, such as a Ford F-250. Witnesses are asked to call state police.
