(Update: More details on fire)

A motor home was destroyed in a fire late Wednesday night in southeast Redmond that also damaged the exterior walls of two nearby sheds but caused no injuries, officials said.

The fire was reported around 11:20 p.m. in the 200 block of Southeast Jackson Street.

They arrived to find the motor home fully involved, with flames extending to two other structures, a large shed on the property and a garage on a neighbors’ property, Redmond Fire Marshal Traci Cooper said.

Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the fire and keep it from extending into the two buildings, but the motor home was a total loss, she said. Losses, including contents, were estimated at $25,000

The Itasca motor home was being used as a residence, but the resident was not inside when the fire broke out, she said.

The cause of the fire was under investigation, the fire marshal said.

The American Red Cross said it sent a disaster response team to the scene to help the one adult resident with immediate basic needs.
