Lebanon driver crashes into house, charged with DUII
A 22-year-old Lebanon man faces DUII and other charges after crashing his pickup through the front window of a house and into the living room Saturday night. Fortunately, the residents had just gone to bed and were not in that part of the home, Linn County Sheriff Bruce Riley said.
Deputies responded shortly before 10:30 p.m. to the reported non-injury crash on Hayden Road. Riley said they arrived to find a 2017 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup had gone through the front window and came to rest in the living room, with only the rear portion of the pickup sticking out of the house.
The driver, identified as Haven Austin Hansen, had a 27-year-old Sweet Home man as his passenger, the sheriff said.
Hansen was arrested on charges of DUII, reckless driving and misdemeanor driving with a suspended license. His blood alcohol level was almost three times Oregon’s legal limit of .08.
The pickup was towed from the scene and Lebanon firefighters helped the family board up the front of their home.
