Local Alert Weather, Thu., 12.21.17
Good Thursday Morning, Everyone…
A modest amount of high pressure overhead will help to keep our skies mostly clear today. Daytime highs will be right around our average high of 40 degrees for this date. Winds will be pretty gentle and generally out of the south.
Mostly clear skies tonight will help our temperatures drop into the teens and low 20’s. Breezes will stay light out of the south.
Storm activity moving southward out of Canada will, for the most part, move off to the east. It will, however, deliver a chance of some snow showers to Central Oregon from late day Friday into the early hours of Saturday. Most of the snow out of this system will fall over the Ochoco, Blue and Wallowa Mountains. We can expect a variable cloud over the weekend to deliver an ever so slight chance of scattered snow showers. That will really limit our chance of seeing a white Christmas.
