Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM
Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!
Areas of freezing fog are likely again this evening. The winds will be rather calm, so we are not expecting much improvement overhead tonight. Lows will be stable in the low to mid 20s because of the fog overhead. Know underneath the fog would could see slick spots on roads or spots of ice.
If the fog does break up tomorrow we will see daytime highs in the upper 30s and lower 40s; however, many locations in the low lying elevations can expect areas of patchy freezing fog and therefore will not warm up much. Daytime highs for those with fog will be in the mid 20s. Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies are expected above the fog.
Snow showers are likely across the Cascades with a chance for showers making their way into Central Oregon. Mt. Bachelor is looking to pick up around 1″ of snow on Wednesday.
Moving forward we’re expecting winds to pick up Thursday and Friday, which should help mix up the air and get rid of the freezing fog. Overall, we could see a few showers on Thursday with mostly cloudy skies apart from that chance.
Highs will be a little above average above the fog in the mid to upper 40s.
