Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM
Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!
Freezing fog will continue for most of the region tonight. Beneath the fog temperatures will not vary much as the air doesn’t move. Overnight will a wave of showers moving through we should see some improvements to the widespread freezing fog and visibility.
Lows will be in the low to mid 20s with light and variable winds. Freezing rain chance develop around 4 a.m. from the south and moving to the north. By 6 a.m. most of the region can expect slick roads with a rain/snow mix or ice. Keep in mind surfaces will be icy and slick, so take your time getting out the door and getting around!
The showers and change in the air should help break up most of the freezing fog, which will allow the region to warm. Temperatures will be in the 20s and 30s underneath the freezing fog. Areas out from underneath the fog should warm to around average in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
Chances for mixed showers continue into Saturday. Apart from the chance we are looking at mostly cloudy skies.
