Happy Friday!

It’s been a nice, mild day with near record breaking temperatures in the lower 60’s. Even though Phil, the Groundhog, says there will be six more weeks of winter it definitely doesn’t look like that for Central Oregon. Tonight our skies will stay partly cloudy. The clouds will help keep the surfaces heated, which means mild temperatures throughout the evening and overnight hours. Overnight lows will be in the low 40’s. We’ll remain fairly breezing with winds at about 15 miles per hour.

The winds will remain strong Saturday. Our skies will be more cloudy than they were today. Temperatures above average in the mid to upper 50’s. Sunday there’s a slight chance of rain showers in the afternoon. By the evening we’ll have drier conditions, clouds sticking around. Temperatures will be near record breaking on Super Bowl Sunday in the low 60’s. Remember, you can watch the big game with us on KTVZ.

Our skies will begin to break up throughout the work week. With the help of sunshine to heat our surfaces temperatures will remain above average and near record breaking for the rest of the week. Perhaps spring is coming six weeks early for Central Oregon?
