Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM
Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!
We broke another daytime high record today at the airport in Redmond. Highs reached the upper 60s when our average is 45 degrees. Mostly sunny skies this afternoon gave way to a few clouds this evening. Overnight we’ll see winds out of the south with breezes around 10 miles per hour. Partly cloudy to mostly clear skies will be overhead. Lows will bottom out well above average in the mid to upper 30s.
Thursday will be breezy at times ahead of a change on the way. Before we get to the change highs will reach the mid 60s, so another warm and mild day is ahead. We’ll see increasing clouds across the Cascades as a brief disturbance moves into the region.
Beginning Friday daytime highs will be cooler in the 40s and 50s. Colder air is moving down from the north and will settle in for the next several days. Variable clouds will be overhead, but we are expected to remain dry on the High Desert.
Overnight lows moving forward will return to cold, frosty conditions. Lows will be in the teens and 20s this weekend, so be prepared for cold nights. We’ll be chilly this weekend, but you just need a warm jacket!
