Local Alert Weather – Mon. PM
Happy Monday evening, everyone!
A cold day for Central Oregon as temperatures didn’t make it out of the lower 30s. Our average daytime high is now 46 degrees. Overnight expect clear, and a frigid night. Lows will be in the single digits and lower teens. We will have an icy and frosty start to the day tomorrow, so know surfaces will be slick tonight and tomorrow.
Tuesday benefits from this ridge of high pressure as we’ll see beautifully sunny skies. Daytime highs will be much more mild than we were for today in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Winds will be out of the south around 5 to 10 miles per hour.
The next system presses into the region from the northwest overnight Tuesday and into early Wednesday morning. Snow will fall across the Cascades during this time and Mt. Bachelor can expect around 2-5″ of snow. Central Oregon has a slight chance for a few snow showers on Wednesday. Highs for Wednesday will be right around average in the low to mid 40s.
We’ll round out the week with calmer conditions and partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will be around average.
