Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM
Happy Valentines Day, Oregon’s 159th Birthday, and Ash Wednesday, everyone!
What a day! We saw just a little bit of everything today with gusty winds, average temperatures, some sunshine, and some snow showers. Overnight expect the slight chance for a few lingering snow flurries with cold overnight lows. Temperatures will fall into the upper teens in outlying areas to lower 20s for most of Central Oregon.
Tomorrow sees daytime highs in the low to mid 40s, which is a few degrees below average. Partly cloudy skies will be overhead. Winds won’t be nearly as gusty. We’ll end the day with some clouds pushing in around sunset, but for the overnight into Friday we can expect partly cloudy skies.
The weekend sees a modest warm up for Saturday with temperatures in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Winds will be gusty around 25 to 30 miles per hour over the weekend as the next system pushes inland. We have the chance for rain showers developing in the afternoon and evening on Friday.
There’s a chance for snow showers early Sunday, but we are looking mainly dry. We’ll see partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies overhead. Temperatures on Sunday will be cooler than Saturday by about 10 degrees.
Cold air lingers for the beginning of the next week, but we are looking to be dry.
