Local Alert Weather 0225 AM

Hello everyone!

There’s a Winter Storm Warning in place for the Cascades until tonight. Due to this drive carefully if you’re headed over mountain roads. At the moment they are fairly snow packed and icy in some spots. If you’re towing something chains are required. There’s also a Winter Weather Advisory for Sunriver and La Pine until 1 in the morning Monday. Throughout Sunday morning there’s a chance of snow showers. Once temperatures warm above freezing the showers will turn to mixed showers. Overnight Sunday the storm will turn back to snow. Therefore, Monday morning some of us could wake up to a trace of snow to three inches of snow.

Throughout the week temperatures will stay in the low 40’s. Monday and Tuesday weather will be dry. Wednesday a warm front will move through, which brings more breezy conditions and snow showers to mixed showers. Friday a cold front will move into the region causing colder temperatures and another round of snow showers.
