Local Alert Weather 0225 PM
Hello everyone!
Another snowy Sunday for the High Desert. We started the day with some light snow showers, especially in La Pine and Sunriver. The snow showers began to get heavier around 3 o’clock. Therefore, a Winter Weather Advisory was put in place for everyone in the region. Sisters will have the most snow with 3 inches, 2 inches in Sunriver and La Pine, and an inch in Bend. Everyone else in Central Oregon will have a trace to an inch of fresh snow by tomorrow morning. The snow showers will continue until about 10 o’clock when the snow showers begin to weaken and become isolated. Temperatures will drop below freezing so roadways will be wet and could turn to ice by the time you go to work tomorrow.
Monday there’s a slight chance of afternoon snow showers. For the most part we’ll have a dry day with partly cloudy skies. Temperatures will be in the upper 30’s. Tuesday will have similar conditions. Temperatures will be in the low 40’s, mostly cloudy skies, and a slight chance of snow showers in the afternoon.
Wednesday another storm from will move through bringing with it some breezy conditions. There will be mixed showers and temperatures will be in the mid 40’s. Temperatures will fall Thursday therefore showers will turn to snow showers and stay that way Friday.
Saturday and Sunday there’s a slight chance of snow showers. Skies will be fairly cloudy next weekend with temperatures back around average in the lower 40’s.
