Oregon State Police arrested 28-year-old Hines man on burglary, robbery, assault and other charges after a holdup early Tuesday morning of the Bare Bones Store in Hines, troopers said.

Harney County dispatchers got a 911 call shortly after 6 a.m. Tuesday of the armed robbery at the store, where a female worker was held at gunpoint and struck on her head, OSP Sergeant Kaipo Raiser said. The woman was not taken to the hospital for her injury.

Cash and other items were stolen before the robber fled, Raiser said.

The suspect was identified as Joseph Hoaglen, the sergeant said, and the OSP SWAT Team helped investigators execute a search warrant at a Hines-area home.

Raiser said evidence associated with the robbery and theft were found and seized, and Hoaglen was taken into custody without incident, Raiser said.

Hoaglen was booked into the Harney County Jail on charges of first-, second- and third-degree robbery, second-degree burglary, first-, second- and fourth-degree assault, second-degree theft and unlawful use of a weapon.
