Local Alert Weather – Mon. AM
Happy Monday morning, everyone!
A cold, crisp start is ahead for the High Desert, but we’ll see plenty of sunshine! Expect blue skies all day long with possibly a few clouds by the afternoon. Temperatures will peak in the mid to upper 60s, which is above average. Winds will be out of the north around 15 to 20 miles per hour by the afternoon. Put on the sunscreen if you’re going to spend some time outside and grab the sunglasses!
Overnight tonight skies will remain clear as a ridge of high pressure dominates our weather pattern. Lows will be cold early tomorrow morning beginning in the 20s and 30s. Winds will be out of the southwest around 5 to 10 miles per hour.
Tomorrow continues to warm as highs top out in the mid to upper 70s. The average daytime high at Roberts Field in Redmond is 61 degrees. Sunshine is expected once again and the Cascades will be seeing temperatures in the mid to upper 50s.
The warmest temperatures of the week will arrive Wednesday and Thursday. Highs are expected to break a record on Wednesday. The record high for April 25 is 77 degrees in Redmond. Our forecasted highs are in the upper 70s and lower 80s.
By the end of the week we’re looking at changes as the ridge of high pressure breaks down and allows for the next system to push into the region. The next system brings cooler air putting us back at average in the lower 60s. The chance for a few rain showers develops as early as Friday.
