KTVZ

The c ity of Prineville is seeking community input on the design of the Tom McCall roundabout feature.

The new roundabout at the intersection of state Highway 126 and Tom McCall Road will serve as a gateway to Prineville. The roundabout project, a partnership between the Oregon Department of Transportation, Crook County and the City of Prineville, is expected to be completed in fall 2018. The feature will be installed upon completion of the roundabout.

Residents’ participation will help the Tom McCall Roundabout Feature Committee make recommendations to Prineville’s City Council. The five-question survey is available on the city’s website and Facebook page .

“The community should absolutely have input on the roundabout design,” said Prineville City Councilor Teresa Rodriguez. “This roundabout will be the entrance to our community from the west. Reflecting the history and culture in this feature is an introduction to the community they are about to visit.”

The Roundabout Feature Committee and city council will hold a roundabout feature workshop Tuesday, June 12 , at Prineville’s City Hall in the City Council Chambers. Survey results will be reviewed during the workshop between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m
