Grants Pass man arrested in fatal Selma stabbing
A Grants Pass man was arrested on first-degree manslaughter charges after a fight led to a fatal stabbing in the parking lot of a Selma store Saturday morning, Oregon State Police said.
Josephine County sheriff’s deputies responded around 9:20 a.m. to the reported stabbing and found the victim, Frank Norman Chambers, 46, of Selma, dead at the scene, OSP Captain Tim Fox said.
The sheriff’s office requested help from Oregon State Police, whose detectives responded and assumed the investigation, Fox said.
Suspect Ramon Eduardo Rodriguez Acosta, 58, was booked into the Josephine County Jail and remained held Sunday on $500,000 bail.
Fox said Saturday evening no further details were being released in the ongoing investigation.
