4.6-magnitude quake rumbles off Oregon coast
A 4.6-magnitude earthquake rumbled beneath the ocean more than 100 miles west of Bandon early Sunday morning.
The Oregonian/OregonLive reported the quake occurred at 2:47 a.m. at a depth of more than six miles, the third in the same general area off the southern Oregon coast reported by the U.S. Geological Survey.
A magnitude-3.1 quake was recorded April 20 and a 4.0 shook on April 29. Another, magnitude-3.8 earthquake struck April 26 a bit closer to shore, about 77 miles west of Coos Bay.
