Prineville police plan pedestrian enforcement operation

The Prineville Police Department will be conducting a pedestrian enforcement operation at crosswalks in the downtown area on Sunday, July 1 between the hours of noon and 2 p.m.

Prineville Police would like to remind everyone that every intersection is a crosswalk, marked or unmarked. Remember that especially during the summer months, both pedestrian and vehicle traffic increases. Both pedestrians and drivers should take responsibility on keeping the streets safe for everyone to use.
