Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM
Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!
Temperatures today were a little shy of average thanks to a weak, dry disturbance that moved through. Today was our coolest day on the extended forecast. Our average daytime high is 85 degrees in Redmond.
Tonight expect mostly clear to completely clear skies. Lows will hover around average as well in the low to mid 40s. Winds will be light after midnight gusting 5 to 10 miles per hour.
Wednesday begins our warm up with highs climbing into the mid to upper 80s. We’ll see a few clouds in the morning, but still starting with mostly sunny skies. Winds will gust out of the north around 15 miles per hour.
High pressure stays with us through the end of the week as our hottest days of the year arrive to Central Oregon. Our hottest day so far in 2018 was 96 degrees set back on July 5.
Highs will be in the mid to upper 90s with many locations getting into the triple digits. Dry conditions are expected for the next several days.
Overnight lows throughout the forecast will be in the upper 40s and 50s, which is also above average.
Remember to drink plenty of fluids, check on children and the elderly often, watch behaviors with your pets, and avoid direct sunlight.
Stay cool!
